I worked in a group with Lizzie and Emma. We were given a brief to do a video on either teenagers or Guilsborough school. We choose to do teenagers and wrote a quick list on all the different things that teenagers are involved in. This is shows on the left hand side. We grouped these words in sections: 1) Out of school, 2) In school and 3) Both. From this list we then came up with the idea of doing a shot music video to a song which is out and popular with teenagers. We involved both things that happen inside school and outside school.
The next stage to this was to design a story board to help us out with the filming. We all thought of different ideas to add to the film. I came up with the idea of zooming in on the ipod, clicking play and then the music coming on as the sound track.
The second idea that I came up with was the final scene. This involved the people in the video running out of the front door, slambing it shut and then the camera zooming in on the poster saying "That tonights going to be a good night" Both of these ideas that i came up with happened and are on the video. Even though we all came up with different ideas we helped each other out in order for them to be developed futher.

We also wrote a plan about what we were going to do to make it easier for us to understand exactally what we wanted to do. These are the four main sections of the film and we named them for example section 1 was the class room scene. As I went along I added new ideas to this so that I could tell the other two and see what they thought.

6th November- Evaluation and blogging
Filming
We all helped out with the fiming. I did the panning shot in the class room and the zooming in on the teachers face. Most of the class room was filmed by myself. Lizzie and Emma did alot of the filming at home. I did one of the over head shots when they were dancing in the bedroom. Overall we all did about the same amount of filming but most of it didn't get put in the film as we only had a two minute time allowence.
Evaluation
I think that we have appealed to our target audience well because we chose a very up to date song and a activity that alot of typical teenagers like to do. By doing this it means that they may have been dragged into watching it because its a song that they like. Also it could be seen as comical because it shows the reality of what teenagers are really like when they are drunk. Teenagers will be able to relate to this because its something many people enjoy.
I have developed editing skills during the process. It means that when it comes to the real video I will be able to use these skills to my ability. Another process that i learnt was my camera abilities. It means that i now know that I can use more than one angle with a camera and get the best shots as possible. By learning how to edit it means that I have been able to learn the ability to appy sounds to videos and different sounds. Editing my films means that people can understand it easier and the film won't get to jumpy.
The film shows a teenage social group having fun and home. As it is filmed at home it shows that they are not causing trouble unlike what the media say- that all drunken teenagers cause trouble. The group also shows that they are at an age where all they want to do is have fun and not want to get involved in lots of school work. The first scene is set in school and shows that not all teenagers want to be there. Their facial expressions show that they are bored and obviously don't want to be there. Unlike when they are at home their facial expressions show that they are having a good time and thats where they like to be.
